IB - Project Pirouette
International Ballet partners with Pleasant Valley Connection, Phillis Wheatley Community Center, and Freedom Within Walls at Lead Academy to provide professional ballet training and performance opportunities for children in underserved communities. The goal of this program is to provide access to the art of ballet for people who may not otherwise have the opportunity or exposure. Through summer camps and after-school classes, IB teaches ballet to children of all backgrounds and abilities. Children learn about musicality, creativity, and team work as they engage in exercises that improve fitness and build strength. Opportunities to attend live ballet performances and dress rehearsals are also available. Talented students who are interested in furthering their ballet studies at the IB Academy may be eligible for our scholarship program.
